Nature-based tourists steadily stream from near and far to Salt Spring Island to experience the moderate rainforest-maritime climate, beautiful hiking trails and seemingly untouched spits of pebbled beaches, and the beautiful foliage peppering the landscape.
On Tuesday, April 16, Her Honour Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, visited Salt Spring Island as part of a broader tour of the Gulf Islands. While on Salt Spring, Her Honour visited Gulf Islands Secondary School, Foxglove Farm, the Salt Spring Abattoir, Salt Spring Vineyards, Salt Spring Island Cheese Company, the Salt Spring Library, and Meadowbrook Seniors Residence.
